Breakfast of Champions!

This post is going to be short and sweet.  I just wanted to share the breakfast I've been having pretty much every day this past week--my raw oatmeal.  I tell you, I love this stuff so much that I have not even come close to getting sick of it yet, despite the fact that I've had it five days in a row.

I posted a recipe on my blog awhile ago but I've since modified it a bit--I now use two dates instead of agave/maple syrup.  That's it, though!  Everything else is the same and I have it EVERY day.  Yummy!

  2. Well, Sarah, it's actually not even oats! It's flaxseed that I soak overnight with the dates in some type of non-dairy milk!! I then blend with a banana the next morning when I'm ready to eat it! The texture is creamy and super comforting (I find it to be, at least) but the "goopy" texture might turn some people off : / If you try it, let me know!!!

    1. Oh yes I remember now! I actually enjoy the texture too, I've used soaked oats in smoothies before and really enjoy it so I imagine it is probably pretty similar to soaked flaxseeds! What a great boost of omegas, I'll definitely have to try it!

  3. OOh! Yes, you must try it. If the texture isn't a problem for you then you will LOVE it! It's seriously my favorite meal of the day and I actually look forward to waking up because that means I get to eat it! LOL!
