A dear, dear friend of mine, Patricia, who works and practices at the yoga studio where I work (she is actually a massage therapist), placed an order with me me for FOUR Christmas baskets of vegan goodies. Just imagine my excitement! One basket is for a four-person family, the other, a two-person family, and the last two, one-person families.
I asked Patricia what she'd like in the baskets and after some back and forth communication, we settled on:
- Turtle Pretzel Rods
- Chocolate-Peppermint Rice Crispy Treats
- Salted Caramel Corn
- Chocolate-Dipped Macaroons
- Brownie Cookies
I got one of the baskets done tonight and I have three more to create by Friday. Almost everything is made except for an additional batch of salted caramel corn, which I will probably make Tuesday.
One more thing: I have the best mama E-V-E-R! Tonight she surprised me with a lovely vegan/gluten-free dinner after spending her entire day decorating our house for Christmas. She knows I've been eying the cover of the recent
Vegetarian Times and so that dish--
Linguine and Clam-Free Sauce--is what she decided to make!
Both of us thought the dish was SUPERB and she agreed to make it again :)
Oh wow congrats on that order!! Everything looks so beautiful, how exciting for you!! Sounds like your baking business is going so well and I'm sure it will only get better from here!
ReplyDeleteHow cool that your mom made that meal! It looks so beautiful! Gotta love Vegetarian Times :)
Thank you so much Sarah! I appreciate your optimism and I hope your hunch is correct ;)) Aside from those baskets though, sales are a little slow right now, which is a little weird since it's the holiday season but I'm not reading too much into it. Sometimes there's no rationalizing things like that!
